Delete your CertMonk account
This page explains how to delete your account in the CertMonk app, developed by G3NO SYSTEMS LLC, and what happens to your data.
Deletion cannot be undone. It removes all your progress and your purchase records, so purchases cannot be restored to a new account afterward. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund Google Play purchases; refunds follow the Google Play refund policy. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open CertMonk and sign in.
- On the Study tab, tap the Settings gear (top right).
- At the bottom, under Danger zone, tap Delete account….
- Read the list of what is deleted, then type DELETE.
- Tap Delete my account permanently. Your account and data are deleted right away and you are signed out.
Option 2: Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in:
- From the email address you use for your CertMonk account, send an email to privacy@certmonk.app.
- Use the subject "Delete my CertMonk account".
- We may ask you to confirm the request from that address.
- We delete your account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address and password hash.
- Your study data: practice history, answers, practice test results, flashcard progress, selected exam and daily usage counts.
- Question reports you submitted.
- Your purchase and entitlement records.
What is kept
- Nothing in our live database. When your account is deleted, everything above is removed from it immediately and permanently.
- Our hosting provider's backups roll off within about 7 days.
- Google Play keeps its own records of purchases under Google's policy.
- Emails you sent to support may be kept as long as needed to answer you.
