Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

ShroudWave is a puzzle game made by G3NO SYSTEMS LLC ("G3NO SYSTEMS", "we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, who helps us run it and what you can do about it. It applies to the ShroudWave app for Android (and for iPhone when it is released). Our website has its own privacy policy.

1. The short version

  • You don't need an account to play, and we don't ask for your name, email or contacts.
  • Your progress, album and scores are saved on your phone.
  • We collect gameplay statistics and crash reports to improve the levels and fix bugs.
  • The free version may show ads from Google. A one-time Full Unlock removes them.
  • We never sell your data.

2. What stays on your phone

Your saved game (levels finished, cards and album, scores, settings) is stored on your device. It is not sent to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data, deletes it. Leaderboards are on your device only.

Testing builds may let testers write playtest notes. Those notes stay on the phone and reach us only if a tester chooses to share them.

3. What we collect

Gameplay statistics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to see how levels play: when a level starts and ends, whether it was solved, the number of moves, transmits and hints, battery left, score, lock quality and whether Assist was on. Firebase also collects standard technical data such as an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version and approximate country. We use this to balance difficulty and find levels that are too hard or too easy.

Crash reports

If the game crashes, Google Firebase Crashlytics sends us a crash report (what went wrong in the code, device model, operating system and app version) so we can fix it.

Ads

The free version may show ads through Google AdMob: an optional ad you can watch for an extra hint, and an occasional ad between levels. Ads are never shown in the middle of a level, in the first levels, in Assist mode or to Full Unlock owners. To show and measure ads, Google may use your device's advertising ID and similar data. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purchases

The Full Unlock is a one-time purchase through Google Play (or the App Store on iPhone). The store handles payment; we receive confirmation that you bought it, not your card details.

4. What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location from GPS, microphone or camera input. The game has no chat and no user-generated content.

5. Who helps us run ShroudWave

  • Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics): gameplay statistics and crash reports.
  • Google AdMob: ads in the free version.
  • Google Play and, later, Apple App Store: downloads and the Full Unlock purchase.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Gameplay statistics and crash reports are kept only as long as we need them to improve the game, within the retention settings of Firebase. Data on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the game.

7. Your choices and rights

You can stop all collection by uninstalling the game. You can control ad personalisation and your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. Because ShroudWave has no accounts, we can only find data linked to your device's app instance; email us and we'll explain how to send that identifier so we can help.

8. Children

ShroudWave is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll say so in the game or on this page.
