Privacy in plain words
Last updated October 13, 2026
This is a short summary. The CertMonk Privacy Policy is the full, official version.
What we keep
- Your email address and how you sign in (a password is stored only as a hash).
- Your study progress: answers, practice test results, flashcard progress, readiness estimates and game results, so it syncs across your devices.
- Which Cert Passes you own and where you bought them.
- Question reports and feedback you choose to send.
- If you join the leaderboard, the display name you pick.
What we never do
- No ads and no advertising ID.
- No third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We never see your full card number. Google Play or Stripe handles payment details.
Protecting our questions
To stop bulk copying, we count how many practice tests and new questions each account sees in a day, and we may flag use that looks automated so a person can review it. Network addresses are stored only as scrambled values.
Who helps run CertMonk
Supabase hosts the app and database in the United States, Resend sends our emails from noreply@mail.certmonk.app, Stripe takes web payments, Google Play takes Android payments, and Google and Microsoft sign you in if you choose them. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Delete your account any time in Settings. See Delete your account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or a correction, at privacy@certmonk.app.
- Leave the leaderboard, or delete your leaderboard name, at any time.
CertMonk is not for children under 13.
